Al-Anon\u2019s Twelve Steps & Twelve Traditions – Revised (B-8)<\/p>\n

When I came into Al-Anon this book was the only Step book available.\u00a0 It became and still is a valued piece of Conference Approved Literature on my bookshelf.\u00a0 It is filled with the wisdom of the Steps and Traditions.\u00a0 My original copy of this book has pages covered with highlighted and underlined passages as I studied the Steps and Traditions with other members at meetings.\u00a0 My revised copy, which I now bring to meetings, is highlighted too. My very favorite sentence today is on page 65 \u2013 \u201cSeveral years passed.\u201d\u00a0 When I first came to Al-Anon I wanted a quick fix.\u00a0 For me change has not worked quickly.\u00a0 It has happened little by slow through working the Steps.\u00a0 To maintain my serenity I must remember this quote from page 10, \u201cI can only begin my search for serenity when I can free myself from my obsession with others.\u201d\u00a0 When I keep the focus on myself my life goes smoothly.<\/p>\n
