Your fears will diminish, you will reap the benefits of giving to others, and you will learn that by placing our common welfare first, you will receive much more than you give. You will also receive self-confidence, self-esteem, a greater understanding of how to apply Al-Anon’s  spiritual principles and have fun times and fellowship. Service gives us more information about worldwide Al-Anon and opportunities for other service experiences of JOY. Looking to kickstart your recovery? Service is the answer.

There are many ways to get involved in MA Al-Anon and Alateen on the group, district, and Area level regardless of the amount of time you have available. Together we make MA Al-Anon and Alateen work- Submit a service opportunity. Here is a list of short and longer term service opportunities that you might find interesting.

 Join the Bequest Work Group: This work group will review membership proposals for using bequest money, and present them to the Area and Assembly for approval. Are you a current or former Delegate, DR, GR or active member at large? Consider becoming part of the process to enhance Al-anon in Massachusetts in so many different ways! Please contact us at bequest@alanon.mystaging.online for more information on how to become a part of the Work Group. 

 

Join a Committee:  Are you looking for an opportunity to say thank you to Al-Anon for your gift of Serenity? Try joining one of the many Service Committees that are working to spread the message of Al-Anon. Many of them meet online which makes it easy to join in and participate. Contact information is listed in the monthly bulletin as well.
